Joe & Christina ~ the Wedding {at York Harbor Inn}

Joe and Christina’s wedding took place over Memorial day weekend.
The entire day was the most perfect blend of stunning and sweet.
Christina had every detail planned perfectly… This girl has some serious style and knew what she wanted her wedding to look like.

There were vintage jars and vases everywhere… Gorgeous milk glass and antique bottles…
There were seashells and sand dollars… and there were flowers.
Oh, the flowers.
The most beautiful blend of pinks and peaches and creams… These had to have been some of the most stunning flowers I’ve ever seen. The ladies at York Flower Shop did an absolutely spectacular job!

We all woke up to a dark grey sky and falling rain. I must admit that I’m partial to rainy day weddings – they offer certain moods and shadows you just can’t get on a perfectly sunny day.
Christina and her girls got ready at the York Harbor Inn (which is also where the reception took place) and the whole place is just so charming.
Laura (of Acorn Salon) took care of the hair.
Christina is super bride and did her own makeup (one of my favorite photos is the one of Christina and her mom doing their makeup at the same time), and then together all of these girls were taken over to the church (in the rain, no less).
There, Joe greeted his bride with the sweetest smile.
The service was both beautiful and moving ~ I loved the big smiles of Mr. and Mrs. as they walked out of the church as newlyweds!

After the service, the sun came out just long enough for us to get some photos in the beautiful garden area across from the Inn.
The afternoon continued with dancing, laughing, and plenty of dessert!
Christina had planned the most beautiful dessert table for such a special day…
And that INCREDIBLE cake is by Wild Orchid Bakery.
There were even old family recipes used from both Joe’s and Christina’s sides! So cool!

The entire day was absolutely breathtaking. These two are so clearly in love and it was so beautiful to see them surrounded by so many friends and family members that love and support and think the world of this amazing couple.

Enough from me. I have a lot to show you ;]
