We met up with Josh and Katie on the most gorgeous fall day.
The sun was amazing and we met up in downtown Portsmouth which always offers such an array of awesome shooting locations.
Josh and Katie were expecting their first baby and decided to wait until he/she was born to find out the gender –
How awesome of a surprise that must be!
They wanted to document this precious time in their lives before they became a family of three.
Katie was absolutely glowing and Josh was all smiles.
To top it off – they are both so photogenic which made my job so easy!
A couple of months later the beautiful Madilyn made her appearance!
What an adorable, precious, smiley little girl.
Obviously just as photogenic as her parents ~
(seriously – I’ve never seen such a well behaved newborn! She was perfect!)
Josh and Katie, I can’t even tell you how happy I am for your precious little family of three.
You guys are the best and I’m already so excited about Madilyn’s one year portraits ;]
Renee and Derek are dear friends and I loved every second of their maternity shoot.
We started off in Grace’s nursery –
(that of course was so lovingly put together by her talented and creative mom~)
After taking some photos in the lovely nursery and even getting “big brother” Benny to pose for a few shots ;]
we headed to Rye beach for some more photos… a quick outfit change…
and a few more photos of these wonderful people in their last days as a “duo”!
Love you guys!
And then I was able to meet Grace a couple weeks after she was born!
(Which wasn’t too long after these maternity photos were taken!)
Welcome to the world, Grace!
You are one loved little girl!
Dan and Caroline have been dear friends of my sister Abbie and her husband Nick for quite some time.
They are adorable and sweet and one of the best looking couples I have ever seen, hands down.
I am pretty sure if they are ever looking for new career paths they could look in to some modeling for J. Crew or something ;]
Dan happens to be an amazing artist (and takes some pretty amazing Instagram photos!)
and I’m not going to lie – for some reason that made me a little more nervous to shoot these photos than I normally would be!
Not to mention these guys have a super talented photographer sister-in-law…
So I mean… Like I said, nervous ;]
OF COURSE Dan and Caroline, you could not be sweeter or more easy-going.
I loved every second of our shoot – even though it didn’t last very long and even though we had to deal with the “shoe incident”… May they rest in peace ;]
We didn’t have long to shoot these photos as we were chasing the light just before sunset.
We decided not to travel too far so we took Dan and Caroline to one of my favorite spots in Newmarket –
the conservation land! It was a little hot and buggy – but these two are troopers :]
Thank you guys SO much for letting me capture this special time – such a sweet part of your story.
I am so excited to meet Caleb and Lyla in the very near future!
I have a feeling those are going to be two pretty good looking kids. I am already looking forward to the newborn shoot! :]
We love all four of you and look forward to photographing lots more of your story in the future…
